ABSTRACT
The survey of information management and classification is one that has got to do with a classification in use in the personnel department of federal polytechnic Nekede Owerri. In an office where there is no information management and classification, it is bound to fail in its dealings within and outside the organization. The survey of information management is very significant and cannot be over emphasized in terms of records filing. It is easier to refer to a particular document at nay point in time especially when documents are properly filed. A faulty filing classification will make the record keeping of an organization to be a very tedious job just because the information are no readily handled and also available.
